This Cookie Policy explains the small text files YachtByte places on your device when they are needed to protect forms or provide a login session.
YachtByte does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural-tracking cookies, social-media tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

3. Google sign-in
YachtByte does not embed Google advertising or analytics technology. If you select Continue with Google, your browser is redirected to Google's own website so Google can authenticate you. Google may read or place cookies on its domains according to your Google settings and Google's own policies. After authentication, Google returns you to YachtByte and YachtByte uses its strictly necessary sessionid cookie to keep you signed in.
4. Why no consent banner is shown
The cookies placed by YachtByte are used only for purposes that are strictly necessary to provide requested login, account, form, and security functions. The optional Google sign-in journey begins only when you select it and takes place on Google's website. YachtByte does not ask for cookie consent while no optional cookie technology is placed on the YachtByte website.

Production session cookies are transmitted over HTTPS, marked Secure, restricted to same-site use, and unavailable to browser scripts. The form-security cookie is transmitted over HTTPS and restricted to same-site use.
6. Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking the cookies listed above may prevent subscription forms, login, contact forms, account preferences, or gated content from working correctly.
7. Future changes
YachtByte will review this policy before adding analytics, advertising, embedded tracking, or other optional storage technologies. Where applicable law requires a choice, those technologies will remain disabled until that choice is made.
